I’m Mary Silva. I am a working mother and I am running for Congress in Washington State’s 1st District. I am running because I believe the solutions to our problems lie within us. The key to taking back our power stems from our willingness to involve ourselves in the political process and seek change through peaceful means, well before military intervention becomes necessary. I will tell the truth, work to hold criminals accountable for their crimes and collaborate with other serious leaders, in good faith, towards finding sustainable solutions to our problems. I am extremely concerned for our future, if we continue down this path of division. I will represent the adults who are independent thinkers, who love this state and this country. I will work to ensure that our people's well-being comes first above all else. I believe our founding principles, when upheld and defended by normal, everyday citizens, secure our liberty better than any military can. I believe that our people can do the hard things that are necessary to take this managed decline we have been force fed and turn it into unprecedented strength and abundance. I will work to restore the conditions by which our people can flourish. We must not create the conditions which enrich the few at the cost of so many to be able to afford basic things like owning a home, growing a businesses, or living with a healthy savings account.  I am here because I know we can save ourselves and protect our young ones from a future of technocratic feudalism with policies designed to weaken us and foster a mindset of dependence.  I intend to work hard so that Washingtonians who are already working hard, may once again reap the rewards they have earned and deserve.
